Our Programs for Children and Youth at Trinity

Youth Ministry is an effort by the whole Trinity parish to reach out to youth with the love of God as revealed to us in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We don’t see our children as the future — they are the present and we are committed to helping them to grow in faith. The entire parish does youth ministry by caring for its young people and welcoming them into every aspect of parish life.

nursery care 9:45am - 11:30 am

Nursery is provided every Sunday throughout the year for infants and toddlers up though pre-school age. An usher can direct you to our nursery. It is stocked with safe and appropriate toys, puzzles and games. Parents should feel free to come and go as needed. Your children’s safety is our top priority. We always have two excellent, loving caregivers in the room with our children. Our nursery workers are background-checked and there is a camera recording the fun at all times!

sunday school (Sept - June)

Our Sunday School program runs from September through June and is centered on intentional spiritual formation for children and youth. Led by a dedicated team of teachers, students engage in structured, age-appropriate lessons designed to nurture their faith. We incorporate sensory learning, hands-on activities, and interactive discussions to support a variety of learning styles. Through weekly affirmations, Bible stories, scripture, and creative expression, children explore who God is and what it means to walk with Jesus in their daily lives. Our goal is to create a space where faith is not only taught but experienced, so that our children feel supported and encouraged as they grow.

Youth in Worship: Acolytes, Readers, & Ushers

At Trinity, we believe children and youth are an active and essential part of our worship life. Youth serve in meaningful roles such as acolytes, readers, ushers, and greeters. Through acolyting, they assist in the liturgy and help lead worship in a reverent and engaging way. Serving in these roles helps young people build confidence, take ownership in worship, and deepen their connection to the Church community.

confirmation

Confirmation is an important step in a young person’s faith journey, where they affirm their faith for themselves. At Trinity, youth in seventh grade and up participate in a cohort-based experience, learning and growing alongside their peers. Through guided discussions and reflection, they explore the foundations of their faith and what it means to live it out. This journey culminates in a Confirmation service, where youth publicly affirm their faith and are welcomed more fully into the life of the Church. Confirmation is offered periodically and approached with care and intention.
